Kuwazu-nyoubou
A young and beautiful woman, she appears normal at first glance, but she has a second mouth on the back of her head. This hidden mouth consumes many times more food than an ordinary person and uses strands of hair to grab and transport food, allowing her to eat at an extraordinary speed. Since the second mouth is usually concealed by her hair, she looks like an ordinary human. She is also known as Futakuchi-onna (the “Two-Mouthed Woman”).
The story goes that a greedy man married a wife who never seemed to eat. One day, he secretly watched her and discovered her eating an enormous amount of rice and other food with the hidden mouth on the back of her head. The man was caught, put into a barrel, and nearly taken to the mountains by his wife, but he managed to escape and hid in a patch of irises and mugwort, where he was saved.
